AESE President is Cal DeWitt, Professor of Environmental Studies in the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Among his many activities, Cal was the founding Director of the AuSable Institute for Environmental Studies, the main expression of environmental education among evangelical Christian colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad.

Cal is the unusual professor at a research university who takes not only his research but undergraduate teaching seriously. His 126 course, Introduction to Environmental Science, is one of the most popular courses at the UW-Madison. As a research professor, Cal has educated many of the wetlands biologists working in the world today.

He speaks widely around the United States, Europe, and the world.
